Stealth as the primary approach
Study patrols, find alternative routes, and use the environment to avoid unnecessary confrontations.

Short pitch
Better Red Than Dead is a third-person Stealth-Action / Survival Horror game set in the year 2000. On his first field assignment, a young GRU operative is sent to infiltrate a covert American military base concealed behind an ordinary town. When an experimental infection breaks containment, the mission becomes a fight to remain undetected, understand what happened, and get out alive.

Game overview
Gameplay is built around observation, route planning, and quick decisions under pressure. Darkness, cover, and sound allow the player to avoid patrols, create distractions, or separate enemies, while direct combat remains possible but costly.
The infection can disrupt an encounter in real time: a soldier may transform within ten seconds, creating a new threat for everyone nearby. We are developing a minimal HUD, with information also conveyed through the environment, sound, animation, and the condition of the protagonist. The interface is still being refined.

Setting
The year is 2000. A classified American military installation operates under the cover of an isolated town. A biological program has failed, communications are breaking down, and command is losing control of the perimeter. The remaining soldiers continue to follow their orders, but any of them may become infected. The protagonist enters the base to complete a covert assignment and quickly finds himself cut off from support.
